Attorney Steven H. Gurwin

Steven H. Gurwin served as a senior trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. As a senior attorney, he handled and directly supervised over 300 cases in many different parts of the country. He has personally been involved in many cases that have been tried in the Supreme Court of the United States. He also served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Colorado State Attorney General's office before being appointed as a Workers’ Compensation Judge.

Since leaving the bench, Mr. Gurwin has limited his practice to representing injured workers in workers’ compensation cases. He does not represent insurance companies or employers. He feels a strong personal commitment to injured workers and their families and will not represent an insurance company against an injured worker. As a judge and as an attorney, Mr. Gurwin has decided or been personally involved in thousands of workers’ compensation cases.
